Ethical decisions are not always simple; it is more important than ever to practice our ethical thinking skills. In this video, 3 members of the AMTA Ethics Board discuss a fictional ethical dilemma asking what to do when a music therapy client and caregiver cannot or choose not to wear a mask during a music therapy session. We use the AMTA Code of Ethics and an ethical decision making model to discuss important considerations and possible solutions in a situation like this one.

As many music therapists transition back to providing services during this COVID-19 experience, AMTA recognizes that the workplace will look and feel differently. One factor in these differences may include grief.
 
In May of 2020, the AMTA Board of Directors approved an emergency electronic mail ballot to submit four Bylaws changes to the membership for consideration and vote. Read on for the results of this election.​
