Be on the lookout for an editorial by Dr. Daniel Levitin, noted neuroscientist & New York Times best-selling author, scheduled to be published in the Daily Beast. Dr. Levitin will respond to anti-regulation arguments regarding licensure of music therapists & others. He will also emphasize & champion the scientific basis & clinical importance of music therapy while differentiating from unrelated industries that do not serve vulnerable & at-risk populations.

The American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) invites applicants for two positions as Editors-in-Chief for AMTA’s journals, the Journal of Music Therapy (JMT) and Music Therapy Perspectives (MTP). Submissions are invited immediately and must be received no later than 5:00 PM ET on Friday, May 26, 2017, 5:00 pm Eastern time.
