All individuals interested in serving are invited to complete the AMTA Call for Interest: President and Vice-President Elect questionnaire.
We also invite all those interested in serving to meet with current elected officials (President, Vice President, and Past President) to ask questions and gather more information. To that end, we invite interested parties to join us for an Elected Officer Zoom Drop-In on December 10 2024, at 8:00 pm ET. Current elected officers will be on hand to answer questions during the drop-in.

Open Positions
Call 1: 2024-2025 President Elect and Vice President Elect.
The President Elect and Vice President Elect positions for the 2024-2025 term are currently vacant. We are searching for individuals to fill these vacant positions, and those elected will begin serving immediately and serve in the Elect roles for the remainder of the 2024-2025 board term, which runs through December 31, 2025.
Beginning January 1, 2026, the President Elect and VP Elect will move into the President and Vice President positions for the 2026-2027 term. (Terms begin Jan 1, 2026 and end Dec 31, 2027). At the end of the 2026-2027 term the Vice President will end their service, and the President will go on to serve as Immediate Past President for the 2028-2029 term.
Call 2: 2026-2027 President Elect and Vice President Elect.
Individuals elected for the 2026-2027 Elect positions will begin their service on January 1, 2026. These individuals will serve as President Elect and Vice President Elect for the 2026-2027 term. They will then serve as President and Vice President for the 2028-2029 term. At the end of the 2028-2029 term, the Vice President will finish their service, and the President will go on to serve as Immediate Past President for the 2030-2031 term finishing their service on December 31, 2031.
Process
Once the Call for Interest ends, the nominating committee will review responses to the AMTA Call for Interest Questionnaire using the partially anonymized process initiated in 2022. After reviewing the info, the committee will present a slate to the Board of Directors. Once the slate has been set, more information on the candidates and election process will be provided to the community. This will be followed by a review period so that members can learn more about the candidates. At the end of the review period, members will be sent ballots and voting will occur electronically. Voting will be open for 10 days as stated in the AMTA bylaws in Article XI. Nominations and Elections.
