Announcing the newest AMTA member benefit coming in January: the AMTA E-course Research Review Series for members only. Access e-courses based on research from recently published journals, complete assignments, and earn CMTE credits. New courses will be added and members will be able to access to over 30 pre-approved CMTE credits throughout 2020 - included in the cost of membership!

Valuable information about the music therapy profession can be found in AMTA's annually published "AMTA Member Survey and Workforce Analysis, A Descriptive Statistical Profile of the AMTA Membership and Music Therapy Community." The 2019 edition of this document is available free of charge for current AMTA members in Member Resources>Job Center>Resources and Links section. Also available for purchase by non-members (free to current members) in the AMTA online bookstore.

On Monday November 25, 2019 the AMTA Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Jeanne Ellinport, Executive Director. We wish her well in her future endeavors.

This podcast features members of the AMTA Ethics Board providing an overview of the Code of Ethics which is an aspirational model similar to that adopted by many allied health professions. Closing session ends November 24 at 2:00 pm. Special additional courses and trainings may be scheduled outside regular conference hours. This special issue of Music Therapy Matters is available to all.

AMTA congratulates investigator teams receiving research awards in response to the Sound Health funding opportunity. Special congratulations go to music therapist, Dr. Sheri Robb, and her team at Indiana University for their award examining dose-response and effects of an Active Music Engagement intervention on biomarkers among young oncology patients and their parents.
