In January 2014, dozens of music therapy bloggers and podcasters working with with the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) successfully spread the word about music therapy advocacy and the State Recognition Operational Plan through multiple social media channels.

The 2014 Social Media Advocacy Month theme is "We are…" and will center on exploring and honoring the profession of music therapy as a distinct profession, unique from other professions and professionals with which we work. Throughout the month of January, music therapy bloggers and podcasters will be sharing their tips, thoughts, and ideas on advocacy, on being an advocate, and on being a music therapist.​

In a secure, humidity and UV controlled environment, materials are sorted and stored for future generations to enjoy. However, we are at risk of losing important pieces of our profession’s history if we do not act now. We are asking you to take action to preserve our past for our future.
