In November 2013, the AMTA Assembly of Delegates passed a revision of the Professional Competencies. This revision includes 3 new competencies as well as streamlined music foundation competencies. Due to the new competencies, the Assembly voted to make them effective on August 1, 2015. This allows academic programs and internship sites to update curriculum and documents. If it would be helpful to see the old & new side-by-side, you can find a comparison document in the AMTA member toolkit.
