Music Therapy Advocacy in March

Three State Task Forces Hold Hill Days in March
The AMTA Government Relations staff and CBMT Regulatory Affairs staff supported task forces in three states who facilitated Hill Day events in March of 2019.
The New York Hill Day (3/25/19) resulted in additional co-sponsors being added to both the House and Senate licensure bills.
The Iowa task force held meetings with 22 key legislators on their Hill Day (3/27/19), with the intent of helping them move their title protection bill through the voting process.
Over 110 music therapists participated in the Hill Day in Texas (3/28/19) to advocate for their study bill, and connected with all 181 state legislators through meetings or folder drop-offs.
Congratulations to the New York, Iowa, and Texas state recognition task forces for coordinating these successful Hill Day events!
