MEMBERSHIP IN AMTA 2012 – WORTH THE PRICE

Have you noticed? Music therapy has been everywhere this year! Two bestselling novels, a major motion picture featuring music therapy, the first-ever state licenses in music therapy, a brand new AMTA website, and federal recognition of the profession of music therapy by the U.S. Department of Labor, all make it an exciting time to be part of your association and our great profession. Music therapy has never before been more in the forefront of the public’s consciousness with media pieces featuring music therapy by Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Diane Sawyer, and a continuing column by our own AMTA President in the Huffington Post.

None of this would be possible without your help and support as an AMTA member.

AMTA recognizes that uncertain economic times necessitate difficult decisions about how to spend your money. If you've been a member of AMTA before, THANK YOU! Your support has helped countless music therapists and consumers who are dedicated to our mission -- advancing awareness of the benefits of music therapy and increasing access to quality music therapy services. Please help us continue this momentum by joining AMTA or renewing your membership in 2012.

Our new website offers comprehensive and essential benefits that not only make membership worth the price, but also that assist and support our members. A new online directory helping to put potential clients in touch with music therapists, a new and improved Job Center, online purchasing, and the ability to create an online account to edit and control your own information, are just a few of the features of our new website that help you make the most of your AMTA membership. Now more than ever, you need the support of a professional organization behind you. AMTA's work benefits you whether you are a member or not; please consider supporting that work in 2012.

Now you can pay your membership dues and donate to AMTA online!
