Attention affinity group facilitators!
The AMTA online conference is coming up in November and the AMTA national conference team would like to encourage affinity group meetings during the conference week. We understand the need to have affinity group meetings at non overlapping times to accommodate those with intersecting identities. We also wish to increase accessibility for affinity group meetings by hosting them off the conference platform so those not attending conference could still attend the affinity group meetings. Groups may host on their own platform or request use of the AMTA zoom webinar platform which accommodates up to 500 attendees. All meetings will be listed in the conference program with links as well as be advertised on AMTA’s social media platforms.

This will ensure that affinity groups will have unique meeting times. Days are Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday evenings to minimize conflicts. If you prefer a different time, please let us know.
