February 24, 2025 01:56 PM
In the next 24 hours, the U.S. House of Representatives will vote on a budget bill designed to cut Medicaid by $880 Billion, benefiting the top 1% of American earners and causing great harm to the lower 40% of American earners. The House Budget Committee is proposing to cut $880 billion in budget cuts with Medicaid as the primary target. The US House of Representatives is preparing to vote in the next 24 hours, we need to send a clear message:
Don’t cut Medicaid!
CONTACT YOUR LEGISLATOR TODAY. Tell them: Don’t Cut Medicaid
Here are some reasons why.
- By cutting Medicaid, states will not have the required funds for services that ensure essential medical care and community supports for over 72 million Americans.
- A cut to Medicaid is a cut to Medicare. The programs work together to provide the services and supports people need. Our Elders and children will be affected.
- The outcome from any cut is the same: older adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers would lose access to needed health and long-term care.
- Lastly, only the top 1% of American earners will benefit from these cuts while serious and lasting harm will happen to the lower 40% of American earners. Please care about the 40% and VOTE NO!
