American Music Therapy Association Presents:

“IMPROVING ACCESS AND QUALITY: MUSIC THERAPY RESEARCH 2025”

Linthicum, MD near Baltimore/BWI Airport July 16-18, 2015

 

AMTA is hosting, “IMPROVING ACCESS AND QUALITY: MUSIC THERAPY RESEARCH 2025” (MTR 2025) scheduled to begin the evening of July 16, 2015 and end at noon on July 18. This is a working symposium sponsored by AMTA to recommend guidance for future research in music therapy. The meeting is comprised of invited speakers and delegates. Interested music therapy professionals are invited to attend this meeting as general attendees and observers. Please keep in mind that space is extremely limited for this meeting and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis until meeting room capacity is reached. A waiting list will be established.

REGISTRATION: Conference registration for AMTA members is $175; nonmembers $425. Registration includes morning coffee on July 17 and 18, as well as lunch and afternoon snacks on July 17. AMTA is exploring offering CMTE credits for this meeting. Please check back on the AMTA website for updates.

AGENDA: The meeting begins at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 16, 2015 with an opening keynote address, panel, and reception. Plenary session panels begin Friday morning followed by working breakout groups. Workgroups report recommendations and discussions on Saturday morning. The meeting will close at noon on July 18.

MaritimeWHERE: Conference Center at the Maritime Institute (http://ccmit.org), 692 Maritime Blvd., Linthicum Heights, MD 21090. The Conference Center at the Maritime Institute (CCMIT) is located within five miles of Baltimore Washington International (BWI) Thurgood Marshall Airport, the BWI Amtrak/MARC Rail Station, and Interstate-95. Ample parking is available free of charge at the conference center. Free shuttle service van available with CCMIT.

HOTEL: CCMIT includes a hotel on site. Individuals must book their hotel stay directly with CCMIT (http://ccmit.org) at (410) 859-5700 or (866) 900-3517. The group rate for AMTA’s research meeting is $135 (single) or $185 (double) tax and includes dinner and breakfast with the sleeping room. Rooms must be booked by June 12 to guarantee these rates.

Please note - The hotel property wishes you to be aware that the site is for institute and conference attendees and is not a resort property suitable for families. Numerous hotel options are close by CCMIT for attendees traveling with family members.

DINING: CCMIT includes a very good cafeteria served buffet style. They are happy to meet dietary needs and preferences.
